Oil, Gas. Petrochemistry Exhibition overview and data
Since its appearance the Oil and Gas Forum has attention and support of the President and Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, as it considerably contributes to the development of technological infrastructure and technical re-equipment of the oil and gas complex enterprises of Tatarstan.
Annually industrial giants such as Transneft JSC, Tatneft OJSC, Kazanorgsintez OJSC, Nizhnekamskneftehim OJSC, Elabuga Сar Plant Production Association OJSC, RITEK OJSC, Kubangasprom LTD, Iokogava Electric CIS LTD and many others take part in the exhibition.
In 2007 the Oil, gas. Petrochemistry Exhibition went in conjunction with significant events for oil-producing and oil-processing industries of Russia such as The CITOGIC – 2007 New High Technologies of Gas, Oil Industries, Power Engineering and Communication International Conference, Increase of Oil Recovery of Layers on the Late Stages of Elaboration of Oilfields and Complex Developing of Heavy Oils and Natural Bitumen International Conference and the festivities dedicated to of the recovery of the 3 billionth ton of oil in the Republic of Tatarstan. Delegates from Russia, former Soviet republics and foreign countries took part in the business program.
Owing to the organic combination with the concurrent events the exhibition became the grounds where the interests of producers and consumers of technologies, equipment and services meet; it also gave the specialists more comprehensive information on the industry, trends of its development and most effective business solutions.
Region characteristic
The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the oldest oil extracting regions of Russia. Today the republic possesses 800 million tons of extractable oil. The explored reserves make up 900 million tons, and total resources are valued at 4 billion tons. Along with oil the accompanying gas - about 40 cubic meters per 1 ton of oil is extracted.
Oil and gas resources such as these allow the republic not only to satisfy its own requirements for fuel and energy, but also be an important partner both on the Russian and foreign markets.
In the last ten years the development of oil industry became possible due to medium and small businesses and creation of favorable conditions for independent oil producing companies in the republic.
Today on the territory of Tatarstan there are 34 IOPC - independent oil-producing companies with oil production volume between 10 and 500 tons per year. Their part in the overall amount of oil extraction in the republic is constantly increasing.
The entrance of independent oil companies changed the situation on the oil market of the republic: innovative technologies, competition, new methods of oil extraction and stimulation of output appeared.
Large investments in the enterprises of the oil and gas complex of the republic are scheduled.
The vacuum gas oil catalyst cracker was created and petroleum production was organized;
The plant for gas condensate processing with recovery of virgin gasoline, diesel fuel, mazut and condensed hydrocarbon gas was built.
In 2007-2009 it is planned to reconstruct the existing Nizhnekamsk Oil Processing Plant
The industry development is carried out in the framework of the Development of the Oil and Gas Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan for the years 2004-2009 Presidential Program.
